These are the days of my life! Craziness and Chaos!

It's been a really long, busy week. Friday night we went to Olney to celebrate my grandpa's 97th birthday. Since he is so weak, we all went to his house and just ordered some fish and ate there. He really enjoyed having all of us there. He told Dad the next day that he slept really good that night! We came home after the party and Saturday morning my dad called and said that my grandmother had had a stroke so back to Olney I went. I don't really have a lot to say about it, just that she's not doing good at all and we are just kind of waiting to see what happens. I'm way too emotional right now, so I'm just gonna drop that subject for now! Here are the pictures from the party.

We also had shrimp Friday night and I am allergic to shell fish. They all made fun of me that night because I wouldn't touch the bowl the shrimp was in. They were telling me I wasn't really allergic to it and I was just being picky. I took some home to Robert because he didn't get to go and the next day about 11:00 my eyes started itching. After a while my right eye was swollen completly shut and my left eye was not far behind. We finally figured out that while Robert was eating his shrimp, he was watching tv and I touched the remote control the next morning after he had touched it with the shrimp on his hands! I wasn't back to normal until Tuesday!

I took my car for an estimate yesterday and can you believe that a brand new door on a new Expedition is only $345!!! I was shocked and so was the lady that did the estimate! Hopefully they can get it fixed soon because I get sick every time I look at it!

The boys start soccer practice tonight. This is Koy's first year to get to play and he is more than ready. And I can't wait to watch him play! We've got the gear and we're ready to go!

Tomorrow we'll head back to Olney to visit with the family and then we've got Mason's birthday party on Saturday. It will be a lot of fun! I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures on Monday!

I made another video for Kase with a lot more pictures, just for me to have. I decided to go ahead and post it, but just a warning, it's really long!

And it got even better...

As if everything else that happened this week wasn't enough, I'll take this too! My car got backed into yesterday when I went into the daycare to pick up my son! I decided it would be a good idea to skip out on kickboxing because after the way my week is going. I'd probably fall and break my neck! It will get better, it will get better, it will get better. . . . . .

Staples, Crazy kids, and great neighbors

It's only Wednesday and it's been one heck of a week! Monday I got a call from the school nurse saying she had my son in her office and thought I probably needed to take him to the doctor to see if he needs stitches. So I hurry up to the school to find his head bleading a little. Long story short, the girls were throwing rocks and I guess his head was in the way! I took him to the clinic and they decided he needed a staple. The only time he cried through the whole thing was when she was cleaning it with iodine and told him his hair was going to turn colors!

Yesterday was actually pretty calm, but it's homecoming week so today was crazy dress day. My crazy son decided he wanted to wear a dress to school!!! I thought "yeah right, he won't actually go through with it", but guess what, he did! He called Heather last night to ask if he could borrow one of Hannah's dresses and wore it to school! Along with one tennis shoe, one boot, a blonde wig and makeup!!! We didn't tell Dad about this one, he would freak! :) I got him up and off to school early so he could go to breakfast and See You At The Pole. Heather called and said he was a huge hit! I'm sure he was! Now I have to come up with something for tomorrow. They are supposed to dress like they did in the past (or future), doesn't matter when. Any suggestions?!?!

So far today, I've gotten three calls saying that our dog got run over. They all just wanted me to know before I brought the boys home and they saw her. It's so great to live in a small town and have such good neighbors. They even knew her name when they called! She will really be missed - she's the only dog I've ever really liked. :( R.I.P. Deb.

Also, today is my grandpa's 96th birthday!!! Amazing huh? We are all going to his house Friday night for fish to celebrate. Happy Birthday Pop!

My baby is 7!!!

Since my baby boy turned 7 Friday, I wanted to post this slideshow. It's just a bunch of my favorite pictures from the time he was born until now. I have to admit, I got a little teary eyed looking at all these old pictures!

7th Birthday and Weekend Pictures

Friday was Kasey's 7th birthday. We didn't have a party for him (I know, I'm a bad mom!) but he still got lots of presents - mostly Legos. I stayed up with him until 2:00 Saturday morning putting together a truck and trailer! Charity brought Mason and Sam Saturday so we could get some new pictures of them. Here is the slideshow. (Thanks Ashley!) After trying to take pictures in the on again off again rain we finally called it quits and headed to the mall. They don't have a Kirkland's in Wichita Falls so she wanted to go see if they had anything she needed while she was here. It was really funny because we just decided not to change the boy's clothes when we went so they were all three dressed in their white shirts, kakhi shorts and polo caps. Everyone was staring at them and saying how cute they were!

Sometimes being late can be a good thing!

I've been trying to get this posted for two days but it wouldn't let me post pictures for some reason. Wednesday I was a few minutes late getting back to work from lunch, but for once, I was so glad I was. I came back to find this.........

I work with my sister-in-law and I always park right behind her. She came back, parked her pickup, came in the office, and five minutes later her pickup was in the courthouse lawn! The poor guy that drives (or should I say drove) the trash truck just doesn't know what happened. He just wasn't paying attention! If I would have been back on time, he would have taken mine out too!! I would have been REALLY upset! I felt so bad for S. She had that pickup for 10 1/2 years and it only had 95,000 miles on it. She was really attached to it. You gotta watch those trash trucks!!!

Labor Day Weekend

I just got home from meeting Ira in Throckmorton and my boys are all hunting, so I've got a minute to update! Saturday morning we all got up at 4:00 a.m. and headed to Olney so Robert could help my dad and brother work cattle. The boys and I dropped him off and went on to Mom's house to wait for them to get done. We decided we were going to head to Wichita Falls to the Santa Fe Ranch because they were having a huge sale and I needed a bed for my guest bedroom. I was getting very sick of looking at just the mattress with no bed! While we were getting ready to go, Ira showed up pretty upset because he was supposed to work this weekend at the Rockin S at PK and to make a long story short, his "babysitter" was planning on taking the other three girls, but not her. I told him if he would keep my boys Saturday for us, I would take Katey home with me for the weekend. I found several beds I liked but couldn't decide which one I wanted so I made Robert drive to Wichita and make a decision and bring the pickup so we could get it home. Sunday we all got up and went to church and then came home and just relaxed all day. I did get my bed put together though and it looks much better in there. Now I want to go back and get the dresser I wanted but didn't get. We weren't sure it would all fit in the room, but now that we have it all set up, we decided it will. Ira wanted me to get some pictures of Katey while I had her so we drove to Abilene Sunday night to take some there and ran to Walmart. I just couldn't resist buying her an outfit. I've never gotten to buy clothes for a little girl and they are SO much cuter than the boy's clothes. Sure makes me want one!

Robert and the boys got up early today to go hunting so I haven't seen them all day. Hope they are getting some birds. They tried to get me to go, but I just don't really get into the whole hunting thing. Besides, I had Katey and he needed a day with his boys!
