5 Months

I'm a few days late getting this one done, but I've been busy!

Weight: 12 lbs. 10 oz.
Clothes: 3-6 month and a few 6-9 month. And of course, she can STILL wear the newborn onsies she came home from the hospital in!
First tooth (Bottom Right): Aunt Charity found it while we she was laying on the bed in the emergency room at about 2:00 in the morning on Valentine's Day! The second is not far behind it. There is no tooth poking out yet, but I can see it coming.
It's hard to see, but there is a tooth there, I promise!

She is finally putting on some weight and starting to look "normal" so I'm very happy about that.
I've been having tons of fun with my new toy when I get a chance!
(Notice the shirt)
Here is the bib I made her last night.
I guess I haven't had enough of sick kids lately, so Kase has been out of school most of the week with fever and of course the usual respritory problems. Will it ever end!?! I'M SO READY FOR WINTER TO BE OVER!!!!!

The rest of the story

After our trip to the er, I took her to the doctor on Monday, and guess where we ended up........

.....in the hospital, with pheumonia and a bacterial infection! My "sources" informed me that if he would have done a chest x-ray that night, he would have seen it then and all of this could have been avoided. They said that it was very obvious in the x-ray and there is no way that it devoloped from Saturday night to Monday, it was already there. So obviously I was (and still am) a little upset, but the important thing is that she was eventually taken care of and is lots better now. He doctor originally told us that she would be there until at least Thursday morning, but Tuesday morning they turned her oxygen off and she did good without it. Wednesday morning they said that since she had been off the oxygen for 24 hours and her fever had stayed down, we could go home! I am exhausted from not sleeping for a week, so this will surely be a very lazy weekend.

This was Tuesday when she was feeling a little better. She wouldn't even open her eyes on Monday!
Watching her brother (I'm so jealous of her eyelashes!!!)

Hanging out in her "cage"
Pure sweetness
Playing with her dog one of the nurses gave her. I think it was a weenie dog/poodle mix! haha
Robert brought the boys to see her Tuesday night and she had really missed them. Her eyes lit up the second they walked in the door.

Tara's Baptism and Valentines Day

After a very long night in the emergency room, we had Tara baptized on Sunday morning. I was so happy all my family was able to come. Charity came early Saturday and we went shopping. Mike, Ira and the kids came a little later and hung out with Robert until we got back. After a long day of shopping, Erin watched all the kids while we all went to the Icehouse for a night out. Robert's mom kept Tara because she wasn't feeling good and she called me about 10:00 to come check on her because she wasn't breathing very well. She had been caughing all week but got really bad on Saturday. We decided it would be a good idea to take her to the ER, so Charity and I loaded up and headed back to Abilene. I made Robert stay since everyone was staying at our house. After waiting all night, they finally told us to go home and buy a humidifier. All they did was a test for rsv, which was negative and said there was no need for a chest x-ray. So we headed to Whataburger before we left town because we were starving by then, and then went back home. I never realized how good Whataburger was at 4 am after sitting in the hospital all night!!! To be continued.....

Can you tell Robert doesn't like to have his picture taken!?! And Koy is definately his child!

Tara and Trey

All wet and she was giving him a look when he did it!

Happy 6th Birthday Koy!

Here are just a few pictures of the kiddos I took on Koy's birthday. We didn't have a party, but this was after he opened his presents at Mama's house. We had 8 inches of snow here that day, so he got an extra present and didn't have to go to school on his birthday!

The kid is kind of obsessed with guns

He let his brother wear his "cool guy" glasses
Sometimes I wonder about those boys!

I love my babies!

Haha, Kase found his dad's old football pins so they were both wearing them around her house. Before we know it I'll be wearing their football pins!

Does this remind you of a certain Christmas movie!?! haha

2 Pounds in 2 Weeks!!! And more prayers for Chloe' Please

I took Tara for her weight check yesterday and has surely made some progress. She went from 9 lbs 11 oz to 11 lbs 10 oz, which means she gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks. I could not be happier! We still have to go back in two more weeks to check again just to make sure she's still doing good, but I'm just so glad we won't be having to do a bunch of tests and stuff. I guess trying to do the right thing isn't always doing the right thing.

We haven't had a lot going on lately, except trying to get her to gain. Charity is supposed to come Saturday for a much needed girls day full of "retail therapy" and Sunday we are having my baby girl baptized. It will be a very special Valentines Day!

I also want to ask for your prayers again for Chloe'. If you don't remember, she is a month older than Koy and had brain surgery last year. They recently found out that there is still some of the disease left in her brain. She is in surgery right now to remove another portion of her brain which will hopefully, finally, get rid of the disease for good.
