The Slumber Party

Well Heather, Hannah and Trey had their sleepover Friday night. We decided it was too cold to take all the kids to the game so we just got phone updates every few minutes. Albany beat Windthorst!!! Woo HOOO!!!!! And in the last 37 seconds too! I'm sure it was a really good game. Kase went but didn't want to stay, he wanted to have a sleepover with his dad so I took him home about 9:00. Here's a few pics of the kids. They are so sweet when they are sleeping!

Just rambling. . . .

Not a lot going on lately. I went to Dallas last weekend for a sorority trip. I was way too stressed out from driving in Dallas by the time we got there to even enjoy myself! I don't know how people actually live there! lol I guess I'm just a small town girl! We were supposed to meet in Throckmorton tonight to eat for my dad's birthday, but that has been postponed again. Visitation for Brandon and Kenny is tonight so Ira will be there and Charity has been sick and in the hospital all week. Robert is at home in bed right now with whatever it is going around! Hopefully we can get everyone well and meet up in the next couple of weeks. The funeral is tomorrow so I'll be going to Olney for that. It's going to be really sad - I can only imagine. Brandon was like my little brother growing up. I saw him a couple of months ago when he helped Ira move into his house. He was a really sweet guy and will really be missed. The boys and I are going to a "slumber party" tonight at Heather's. Should be fun especially since Robert is home sick. I didn't sleep at all last night because he was caughing (is that how you spell that?!?! It doesn't look right....) and in and out of the bathtub all night. I know I'm just rambling on. I'm a little random sometimes, but it keeps life interesting! Well I guess I'll be a good wife and call to check on him and see if he needs anything. Have a great weekend and tell your family that you love them!

The sweet sound of driving me crazy

I'm trying to cook supper, the boys under my feet flying their new helicopters their dad bought them last night, the helicopter flys into the hamburger meat I'm cooking, I'm yelling, they're yelling, but then I stop and realize.........they are finally playing together. For the first time, playing together and laughing, instead of bickering and fighting. They are driving me nuts, but I absolutely love it. I live for chaos and I've waited for this day since the day I found out I was having another boy. There is nothing better than knowing that my boys will always have someone, a best friend, no matter what happens................and now they are back to fighting and my meat is burning! Have a great night!!!

The Outcome

I'd rather have Santa Clause! And that's all I have to say about that!

Santa Clause for President!

While having a conversation about the presidential nominees with my 4 and 7 years olds (which is weird enough in the first place) I asked them this...

Mom: Do ya'll even know who the president is right now?
Koy: God?
Mom: (Kase and I both giggling a little) Um, no.
Koy: Santa Clause???

Halloween and 1st Place

This is what happens when you let your kids pick their own costume. Although I think the adults had more fun with them at Shelly's last night than the kids did! Ira, Cathey, Keleigh and Katey came to trick-or-treat with us Friday night and spent the night. We all got up bright and early for Kase's last soccer game, but he didn't get to play much because his asthma was acting up.

Kase came by the office after school to tell me that he won the poster contest and got $25. It was the 1st and 2nd grade and they all did a poster on drugs and alcohol. I haven't seen it yet because he had to leave it at school but I'll post a picture when he brings it home.
