Easter 2010

I'm only about a week late getting this posted, but at least I'm getting it done!  We had a great Easter and the weather was just beautiful!  Not a lot to say about it, so here's a bunch of pictures!

My babies - Yes, this is the best picture I could get.  They were WAY to busy to stop and take a good picture for me!

Tara and her Daddy

All the kids ready for the big hunt

She was pretty sure she didn't want to sit in that grass!

But I guess she decided it would be okay

Kase

Koy

The girls on the "vintage" couch in the barn

These two are a mess!

Kamryn, Cutter & Tara

I'm pretty sure Kamryn had something really important to tell them!

All the babies - Kamryn, Cutter, Tara and Cole

Koy was showing them how to use the silly string.  They seemed pretty darn interested!

Tuckered out after a long day!

6 Months

I took Tara for her 6 month checkup and Koy for his 6 year checkup.  Dr. says everything is great although I did get in trouble for letting her sit in a walker!  Blah blah blah!  I guess that's what is wrong with my boys!!!  I let them sit in walkers and now they are ruined for life!

Koy
Weight:  51 lbs.

Tara
Weight: 15 lbs. 4 oz.

Height: 26.5 inches

Clothes: 6-9 and 6-12 months.  We finally put the newborn onsie on for the last time.  I could still get it buttoned, but it was tight.  And you can see her little belly poking out!

Second Tooth (Bottom Left):  March 12

First baby food:  Carrots - March 25.  She loved them and ate the whole jar!  She's been ready to eat for quite a while now but I've been waiting for the doctor to say go.

This was after the first bite.  It took her a couple
to decide for sure if she liked them or not!

She's been able to roll both ways for a while (when she really wants to) but she just started really going yesterday.  Next is crawling and then we're all in trouble!

This is Koy's attempt at taking a picture of her!  Haha

And this was Kasey's

See my curl?

Boys will be boys and boy is mine a boy!  This is where his teeth went through his lip (not all the way, but close) when he ran into a pole playing football at school!  When the nurse called I heard her tell him to put the ice back on it.  He had taken it off to show all the other boys his battle wounds.  I guess he was pretty proud of it!  The place above his lip is where he fell off the dog while trying to ride her like a bull.  Poor Hallie!  And he's got several more scratches and scars above the nose!  If I survive until my boys turn 18 it will be a miracle!

(Yuck!  It looks like he needs to start brushing better too!!!)

Thanks Danita and Whitney!

I just wanted to say thanks to Danita for send me some pictures of things to try! I tried one of them, and I'm actually pretty proud of myself. I think it turned out pretty good. I hope you like it! I've decided I can pretty much make anything (so far) as long as I have a picture to look at. This is how I made Tara's bedding. I didn't have a pattern, so I just made my own and learned as I went. I did the same with the dress. It may not be done "right" but it's easier for me to just do things my own way, rather than try to understand someone else's directions! Also, Whitney wants me to try some overalls so she is on the lookout for some to alter. I really don't have time to be doing all this, between my full time job and my other full time job as a mom/wife, but I just can't help myself! I love doing things for other people and making them happy, even though I'm always worried that it's/I'm never good enough! And I NEVER thought I would say this, but I love sewing too! I guess it's just in my blood. So anyway, keep those ideas coming, cause I love a challenge (usually)!

Miss Brie's dress. I hope they like it!

She's sitting!

I guess Tara decided it was time to sit up today. Yesterday we tried and she wasn't even close, today we tried and she acts like she's been doing it for years! Her second tooth is through now too.

The girls playing at Grandmother's

I guess all the sitting wore her out. She passed out while playing in her highchair!

We went to the zoo yesterday for a birthday party.

And it wore Koy out! Do you think he has enough blankets?

Now I'm going to cut the boy's hair. It's WAY overdue!

A challenge for myself, but I need YOUR help!

To all of you that have little girls: I would like for you to either send me a picture of your favorite outfit(s), or a picture of one that you really like and want, but don't have yet. I want to try and make them, and if I succeed, you can have it! I'll use different fabric of course so it won't be exactly like what you already have. The sewing bug has hit me again and I'm in the mood. I know I will stay more motivated if I am doing something for someone else! I'm thinking of selling some stuff on Etsy, but I'm going to need some practice before I take the plunge. I could make stuff for Tara all day long, but I need to work on other sizes too! Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I just finished this at lunch.

This is what we do with babies at work

Robert's mom had to go to the eye doctor on Tuesday, so after a trip to Abilene to take a computer and pick up some formula, Tara hung out at the office with us for a while. I guess her aunt Shelly decided she needed to be in a box, but she didn't seem to mind!

Just a couple of my projects. I've got several more, but they were dirty. Haha

Round 2

Back to the hospital we go! I took Tara to the doctor again Tuesday because I knew she wasn't feeling good again, and Dr. L sent us back to the hospital for "observation". They did tons of tests and this time she had rsv. She said that she probably caught that when we were there with pheumonia! I thought you went to the hospital to get better, not sick!!! Luckily we were only there one night this time. If we are going to make this a habit, I'm going to have to at least request a pink gown. The blue and green isn't doing anything for her! They kept asking me if she was a boy or a girl! Even the guy that checked us in kept saying "he" without even looking at her! SHE HAD A GIANT PINK BOW ON HER HEAD, LOOK DOWN!!! I would think there would be no mistake with "Tara" but I guess there is! I'm used to confusion with Kasey, but honestly didn't expect that with her!

She finally started eating, so we didn't have to do the iv and all that good stuff this time. They just checked her O2 and heartrate every hour.

Her brother Kase thought she needed these!
