So I guess we both won!

Wednesday I was telling one of the girls that works at the daycare about our little "situation" with Koy's hair and how I think it needs to be cut but I refuse to cut it. Soooo, she called yesterday and asked if he could go play with her little boy after daycare yesterday. Well guess what, he came back with a haircut!!! I thought it was pretty funny and Robert was really surprised. It's really short and I got so used to seeing him with the shag, it's going to take a while to get used to it short again. But I'm glad she did it because he needed it, and I didn't have to give in and do it! It's probably a bad thing that two people that are SOOO hard headed are married to each other. I can't imagine where my kids get it!

P.S. Did anyone notice anything different about my page? Yep, we're pregnant again!!! We have known since the middle of January, and I'm still pretty nervous but hopefully my second ultrasound on Tuesday will make me feel better! I'm due September 24th, which is my grandfather's birthday, the one that just passed away. It's kind of crazy how things work out! Here are the pics of the first ultrasound two and a half weeks ago. You can't tell much and he said I would be amazed at the difference on the next one. But I did see and hear the heartbeat and of course, it made me cry. I guess I always took it for granted with the boys. I am so blessed! O yeah, two of Robert's nieces are also pregnant, and we are all due within a few days of each other!!! Dr. T. said he should give us a "family" discount!

Please Pray

http://www.claydavidfite.blogspot.com/

Please, please, please, pray for this family. Chance (the dad) and my dad are good friends and he and his boys help him out on the ranch a lot. They are truly great people and need lots of prayers right now.

Happy 5th Birthday Koy!!!

Last week was VERY hectic so I didn't get a chance to post a Happy Birthday to Koy Wednesday. I had an appointment on Wednesday, Kase got the flu on thursday, I thought Koy was getting it on Friday so I took him to the dr. but they said no and sent us home. Well, Koy and I got it Saturday! Ugh, what a wonderful time of the year!!! Anyway, I'm still working on his slideshow but HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY BOY!

Valentine's Day or Thanksgiving?

Two years ago, on Valentine's Day, Robert was still working for the Green's and had stopped by his mom's house to see Kase on his way back out to the ranch. He wanted to go with him, but he decided not to let him this time and headed out there. I was at work and the phone rang and it was "D", my boss's son, and Robert's cousin. All he said was "get my dad, tell him it's an emergency, I've just seen a bad wreck." Of course my heart is racing and I just have this gut feeling that something wasn't right. He wouldn't have called for him and said it was an emergency if he had just "seen" a wreck. "M", his dad, very calmly walked out the front door without saying a word and the phone rings again. It's Robert's mom. "Are you going out there?" Me: "Where?" Her: "Robert and "D" were just in a wreck" He had called her and told her what happened and didn't even bother letting me know!!!!! I kinda started freaking out after that so I don't really remember the rest of the conversation!

"D" had gone to pick up a couple of hogs for "M" that he had processed and was on his way back and missed a curve on the highway. Robert just happened to be the one in the way and they almost hit head on. Robert said he didn't know who it was until he saw "D" fly over his head. When I finally got out there, they had already drug "D"s pickup to town and they were picking up all the meat that flew out of his pickup of the road. The highway patrol said the only thing that kept Robert on the ground was the heavy flatbed on his pickup. Neither one of them were wearing their seatbelts and it is truly a miracle that either one of them, esp. "D" are alive. When you see the pictures, you'll see why! They were both really sore and Robert had a small cut on his leg, but that was it! "D"s dog wasn't so lucky though, they had to put him down. All I could think about was how Kase almost went with him, and if you know me, you know that I am a MAJOR stickler for seatbelts, but unfortunatley, Robert isn't. He says he doesn't want to be trapped in. If he would have been with him, he would not have made him wear his seatbelt (even though I always tell the boys to wear them when they are with their daddy, even if he doesn't tell them to) and the outcome would not have been as good as it was.

Robert's Pickup (and part of "D"s in the grill guard)

"D"s Pickup

It WAS brand new!

It's a complete miracle he is still alive!

Of course he had to pose in front of it!

I've never been real big on the whole Valentine's Day thing, but a couple of years ago it turned into my own little personal Thanksgiving Day.

The Whoville Convict

I just wanted to post these pictures of Koy after he got out of the bathtub the other night. Robert spiked his hair up and said he looked like a Whoville Convict with his striped pajamas on. It was pretty funny.

Koy's first sleepover and my date

I know, I know, it's be a while! So here are just a few updates. Koy had his very first sleepover Friday night with Taren. His mom said they were great and just stayed in his room and played all night. When we picked him up Saturday morning she said he had a very tall order for breakfast! That didn't surprise me at all. He must be growing because he is hungry ALL the time lately! As soon as I pick him up from daycare he tells me he's hungry and asks what we are having for supper! Robert and I are still having a standoff on his hair. He was supposed to take him for a haircut over the Christmas break and "didn't have time" so I refuse to cut it! I know that's bad, but we are both so hard headed it will probably be to his knees by the time one of us gives in! He's looking pretty shaggy!

I've had a gift card to Chili's for a couple of months now, so while Koy was gone, I decided I wanted to go on a "date" with Kase. I told him he could order whatever he wanted (just this time though) and he did! He wanted mac n cheese and chicken strips, so he got both and ate almost all of it. He was planning on the molton chocolate cake after, but he was too full for it! After we ate I needed to run to Walmart for a few things so we did that and then came home. When we got home Robert still wasn't there so he told me "I guess we're still on our date because Dad isn't home yet." Too funny. When he did get home he asked Kase if he had fun on our date and he said "yes, except for the shopping part!" Typical man!

After we ate breakfast and picked up Koy on Saturday morning, the boys and I headed to O town to help my mom start cleaning out my grandparent's house. We spent the day doing that and then went back to Mom and Dad's for pizza and bed! Ira and the girls stopped by and we ended up keeping KeLeigh and Katey for the night. Mike and Charity went to Las Vegas this week so Sunday we waited around for them to bring Mason and Sam to me. After they dropped the boys off, they headed to Hurst for the night and to Vegas Monday morning. As soon as we got home Sunday Mason started asking me if he could get ready for bed! I told Charity and she said he always wants to get comfy real quick, just to make sure he's really staying! I thought it was pretty funny! Georgia is coming to get them this afternoon and taking them back to their house until Friday when they get back. The boys have been great (they really have Charity!) but I feel bad because they have had to go to daycare every day! I feel like I haven't even seen them at all.

One of our friends is having her baby today (we were due 4 days apart) so after Georgie picks the boys up, I guess Kase, Koy and I will head to Abilene to meet Dylan, and maybe I'll have a date with both of my boys! (I think I'm addicted to Chili's!)
