The Party...Where do I even begin!?!

The Birthday Girls

Wow, I have 3 words, WHAT A DAY!!!  Saturday, o rainy, muddy Saturday, the one day my kids wanted to sleep late, and I was up by 6.  At 9:30 I finally woke Tara up.  Me + Mandi + two 1 year olds + a "quick" trip to Abilene for the cake and groceries + pouring down rain = torture great fun!  :)  The only thing that would have made it better was if we had taken all 5 boys too!

Fast forward about 3 hours - party starts in an hour and a half, 40 minutes to get home, load stuff up, stop at the dollar store and grocery store for everything we forgot, 15 minutes to the party place, now it's 1:45.  Party starts at 2.....WE ARE ON TOP OF THINGS!!!  Now to get "decorating".  Or as much decorating as you can do in a really old barn.  236 pictures to hang from clothespins, yeah, we'll pretend those all got hung up.

People started showing up, so enough with the pictures.  The rest of them can go on the table to be looked through if anyone is interested.
Now for the cakes.  Aren't they lovely?  Yeah, they didn't quite turn out the way they were supposed to, but o well, everyone still ate some!

"What is going on?"

"Sure, we'll take some of that!"

"Really Mom???"

"Mmmmm"

Look at all those boys, these girls don't have a chance!

She would have eaten the whole thing if I would have let her!

Now for presents.

Now the fun begins.  Remember all those little boys?  Remember all that rain?  Now we have mud!  Fun!!  Yes, we gave up on the cute dresses and trying to keep them clean.

I guess it tastes pretty good too.  Tara wouldn't stop trying to eat it.

Ty and Sam trying out the hula hoops

Nasty, nasty kids!  And we had to let them in our cars to get them home.....Let's just say there were lots of trash bags involved in getting my 4 (including their dad) home!

Now for a little break to repair Ira's pants...

Guess he called in for reinforcements

And a quick trip up the pole to catch a football.....

And now we have 2 very sleep little girls!

Kamryn sure does love her Tara!

I'm not sure Tara feels the same way.

This is only a few of them.

Overall it was a great day, but I am so glad it's over!!!  I guess it's not a bad thing to get a little muddy every now and then, but next year, I'd prefer it without the mud and nasty children!

Happy 1st Birthday Tara Katherine!!!

What a short year it has been.  I can't believe she is already one year old!

What a difference a year makes!  :)

Sometimes she has a bit of an attitude...

She loves her food...(She got these when I wasn't looking)

(This is her having a small fit)

But I wouldn't trade her for anything!  Just one of these little grins and my heart completely melts  :)

WE LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!!!

And so it begins

The day my dad has been counting down to since the day Kase was born.  WE HAVE PIGS!  He delivered them Thursday night and has already been back once.  He's had the itch for 9 years and finally he's back in the groove.  Koy is in for a big dissapointment when it comes time to show them.  He is soooo excited about them, but even though we have told him, I don't think he fully understands that he won't actually get to show.  At least for a few more years anyway.  I have to admit, I was (and still am) a little nervous.  I've never been on this end of it!  I LOVED showing them, but never really had to deal with anything else.  So we will see how all this goes!

Sausage & Maple Bacon.  Don't you love the names?  So original!  Ha

Happy Birthday Kase!!!

I really can't believe my first born, MY BABY, is 9 years old!!!  We went all over Abilene today looking for a certain scooter he wants, which of coure, we didn't find.  So the online search is on.  Here's the birthday boy at "Grandma Lene's".

I was such a bad mom this month, I forgot to take Tara's 11 month picture in her bed!  Ugh!  O well, here's a few updates.  Nothing really new, she REFUSES to walk, has 8 teeth, and is saying several new words.  Some of them are bite, bath (the girl LOVES to eat and takes baths!),  and shat (what's that).  When we go somewhere she tells everyone she sees "Hi" and waves.  She has become quite the climber too.

My mom dug out some of my old shoes so I just had to put them on her!

For those of you that have boys, you understand this.  For those of you that don't, this is what you're missing!  This is how I find my bed almost every night lately.  These don't include the several vehicles IN my bed!

Back to School

Well it's that time of year again.  My babies headed back to school this morning.  Kase to 3rd grade and Koy to Kindergarten round 2.  3rd grade = big deal around here, especially for my Dad.  3rd grade means 4-H, which means pigs!  I don't think Kase is near as excited as he is.  He has been counting down the days since Kase was born!!!

My babies before school

She loves her brothers!

MY WORLD!!!

Just another cool, beautiful day in Texas!  :)

Charity and I went on our annual shopping trip and decided to stay in Fort Worth this time instead of driving home tired.  Here's the view from our room.  Nice, but makes me want to throw up!!!

We also took the boys to Castaway Cove in Wichita Falls.  I didn't get any pictures of course, but here is Tara sleeping in the hotel room.  My mom gave her my old sock monkey that my great grandmother gave me, and she LOVES the thing!  I'm already looking for a replacement b/c I don't think this one will last too much longer.

Luke and Koy at movie night in the park downtown.  Our sorority did the concession stand so they were "helping".

Tyler and Kase at movie night.

Tara at movie night.

Beginning day sorority party at the lake.  Melissa was feeding her "the good stuff" aka dessert.

I'm pretty sure she was saying "it's late mom, decided if we are going or staying and get me to bed!"

"Who me?"

I've been hiding and 10 Months

I've been hiding under mounds of fabric, but I'm coming up for air for a few minutes.  Now that Tara is almost 11 months old, it's time to post her 10 month stats!

Weight: 21 lbs 6 oz

Clothes: 12-24 Months

Still 7 teeth and not really any new tricks.

Words she is saying: Momma, Dada, Kasey, Shoes, Bye bye,

"This is me when I have to sit down and be still!"

"And this is me when I get my way and get to stand up and get into stuff!"

He thinks he's pretty cool!

Koy broke his arm this summer when he fell out of his dad's pickup.  It broke it so high up (almost at the shoulder) that they couldn't put a cast on it.  Luckily it was in perfect alignment, so we just had to wear a sling and be careful for 4 weeks.  Trying to make a 6 year old with an older brother be careful is not easy!!!  As if the broken arm wasn't enough, he got stung by several wasps too!

We went on a mini vacation to Possum Kingdom for a couple of days.

My girl loves to eat!

Trying to warm up after a late afternoon swim.  Notice there isn't even a fire!

Cool guy Jackson was tired after the boat ride.

Robert and Tara on the boat

Jackson and Koy

Emma trying to get a drink.

Getting ready....

Typical day - Koy choking Emma and her laughing about it!  They are going to be in the same class this year......sorry Mrs. F!!!

I wish I would have gotten some pictures of Kase tubing but I forgot my camera.  He was awesome and is such a daredevil.  He really scares me!
