Another Random Photo Shoot

Or I guess you could call them Tara's 18 month pictures!  I have been eyeing this house for quite a while.  I knew I wanted to take pictures there, but I have been waiting for the right outfits.  When I saw this fabric I knew it was perfect.  So I threw this together on Saturday and we headed out for a quick photo shoot.  I can't believe how well it went and how well my kiddos acted!  Here area  few of my favorites.  They aren't great, and I think I'm losing my touch, but I thought some of them were pretty cute!

Another First

Little Miss Priss got her first haircut last weekend.  She was soooo good!

Before

I guess she was bored!

After

After the haircut a little trip to the mall for a couple of things and lunch at Chic-fil-a.

Life as I know it

Well, what life I had, is officially over until after Fandangle!  Baseball season has started and both boys decided they want to play this year.  Kase has practice or a game every day of the week except Wed. and the weekends.  Koy has games on Saturdays, and a few during the week too.  As soon as baseball is over, Fandangle will start.  I am going to be super busy, (like I'm not already!) but I love my boys, and if they want to play, I will let them play!

Koy's first game.  He still needs LOTS of practice! :)

I think this is too funny.  They are not related at all, but I would swear they were!

Watching the game

Kase's first game isn't until later in the month, so no pics of him yet!

On top of baseball, let's add 4-H rifle practices and tournaments!  :)

I'm pretty proud of this boy!

Of course Tara kept the "men" entertained while Kase was shooting!

18 Months and BIG NEWS!!!

Yesterday, my baby girl turned 18 months old.  Today, she TEE TEED ON THE POTTY!!!  YAY Tara!  We go to the dr. on the 4th, so I will update her stats then.

Weight:  24 lbs 15 oz
Height: 32.5 inches

She gained less than a pound in 3 months so of course her dr. had to comment.  She said she wasn't concerned yet, but she wanted her to have gained more when she comes back.

This is kind of how she felt about it, but I was excited!

Now that we are finally back in our house, I'm back to my sewing.  I'm up to my eyeballs in shorties.  This is how I found her Sunday.  There is only so much you can do before you give it up when you're cooped up with Mom in one room all day long.  O yeah, she insisted on wearing her brother's vest all day too!

I got away

Loving the weather!

The girls playing at Grandmother's

Even though the wind was blowing a gazillion miles an hour on Sunday, we went out to ride 4-wheelers and cook out.  It felt good to do nothing, but the whole time I kept thinking about all the stuff I needed to be doing at home.

Climbing the "mountain"

I just love watching all the kids be kids and get dirty!

I'm also trying to get back into the sewing groove of things.  Since I missed out on the MJ shorties, I made these for Tara the other night out of some scraps I had laying around.  I've got more fabric ordered, and plan on making tons more of them.  Soft, comfy and cute!

Relaxation and some other randomness

This is for you Paige!  If anyone remember's when Kase was a baby, you remember "Big Cody"  This is Big Cody's replacement (since the original got thrown in the fire), and Tara loves him just as much as he did.

Is it bad that we have been back in our house for almost 2 weeks, and I STILL don't have everything put back up?  I need to replace pictures, which means order new pictures, so I'm waiting on that.  As for a ton of other things, well, I just don't wanna.  I guess I'm just lazy.....or tired.  Not sure which.  I think I'm just going crazy.  I know my posts have been a little weird lately.  I'm just in a funk, and I don't know why, and I can't get out of it.  But sometimes don't you just need to RELAX!?!?!?!  People tell me to slow down.  When I slow down I get in trouble for doing nothing.  When I don't slow down, I get in trouble for doing too much.  I want to know where that super power is that mom's are supposed to have, because apparantly they forgot to give me that when Kase was born!  I know that I'm just rambling, so I'll stop now.

Maybe this is why I'm tired???

Two cups at once are always a must.  Milk in one and water in the other.  O yeah, she's standing on our new couch.  Maybe I'll post a picture of the whole thing....later.

I'll end with this, because I just can't get enough of those pigtails!

Perfection - It's The Little Things

Let's go backwards a week shall we?  I'm making a really short story really long here, so read if you want, or you can just ignore me.  Either way is fine really, I'm used to being ignored!  So here we go.  Last Saturday, Robert and I decided we needed a new couch.  I guess we needed something to go with our freshly painted ceilings!  Ha  Who knows, but whatever gave us the idea, we decided to go with it.  So off to Abilene we went, all 5 of us.  If you know us, you know this NEVER happens.  We very rarely go anywhere together as a family.  After hitting up several furniture stores with our perfect children, we decided since it was almost 2:00 we should probably feed them.  Robert wanted to go to Red Lobster.  Me, not so much.  If you know me, you also know that I am severely allergic to shellfish.  BUT, being the awesome wife that I am (enter a little sarcasm here) I decided that maybe if we went it might not kill me......this time.  So as always, I gave in and off to Red Lobster we went.  Kase was excited, he loves fish.  Koy was not.  I'm doing good to get him to eat mac-n-cheese!  Tara, well Tara isn't much fun to take anywhere to eat these days.  She's at that "I want to do it myself" stage so all she ends up doing is making a mess and then she's still hungry!  So, we walk into Red Lobster and there are tons of people waiting and they give us one of those flashy things to hold.  Great!  We sit and we wait, and when it lights up to tell us our seats are ready, we have to give it back.  I'm expecting a huge fit from miss priss because of course a 1 year old is not going to want to give the flashy thing up right?  Wrong.  SHE handed it to them!  We followed the girl to our seats, sat down and ordered our drinks.  So far so good!  The remainer of the time we were there continued to go great.  The boys ate and didn't fight, Tara ate great and even let me help her and no one spilled anything!  There were a couple of ladies sitting at the table next to us and when they were getting ready to leave, one of them looked at me and said something.  I heard exactly what she said, but I guess I was in shock because with my mouth full, I said "what?"  YES, I know better, but like I said, I was in shock!!!  She repeated herself.  "Your children are beautiful and very well behaved."  I finished chewing, told her thank you, and they left.  My day just got a lot better.  We finished up and of course the boys needed to go to the bathroom.  As soon as we got up from the table and started walking off, I see this woman almost running towards me.  I don't know where she came from but she was on a mission!  She stopped me and told me that she just wanted to let me know that she was a teacher and she had been "observing" my family.  She said she could not believe how well behaved my kids were, especially the little one.  Then she told me that I had done a good job.  That really meant a lot to me that someone took the time to tell me that, and the fact that she was a teacher was just icing on the cake!  So while I am fully aware that my children are not perfect, or even close to perfect 99.9% of the time, for 45 beautiful minutes, they were indeed, PERFECT!

I know this really deserves a post of it's own, but I'll do it here anyway.  My baby boy turned 7 years old on the 11th.  We still weren't in our house so we just had a cake for him at MaMa's house.  Nothing to extravigant, but he enjoyed it and that's what matters!  I also took him to Walmart and let him pick out several toys so he was a happy little boy!
